AnyTM asks for license

AnyTM keeps asking for a license file although it is now a free SDL-supplied app. What can I do to stop this and use my AnyTM?

  • Hi Andreas,

You must have attempted to install the old one into Studio 2015, or maybe there are old files left somewhere on your computer from the old one.... and it must have been very old as this was eventually free with Studio 2014 even if it wasn't part of the product.

Can you make sure the old one is completely uninstalled? So double check the package folders as well by deleting the folloing if they are present:

    c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\12\Plugins\Packages\CodingBreeze.AnyTM2014.sdlplugin

    c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\11\Plugins\Unpacked\CodingBreeze.AnyTM2014

Maybe also ensure it's uninstalled through the Windows Control Panel altogether... perhaps there is something in there looking for the old license file that should not be there. If that doesn't work we'll engage the developer to see what might be left over.

    Regards

  • Perfect!! Thanks very much, that did the trick. Yes indeed, I had first tried to install the older version of AnyTM which obviously left those remnants behind after the uninstall. Best regards,
