Trados 2019 SR2 WorldServer Compatibility Pack Needed

I’m unable to open a WorldServer package (.wsxz) in Trados Studio 2019 SR2 (build 15.2.8.3077) due to a file access error ("The process cannot access the file 'WorldServer_33226b1b-cc93-4d76-9b1e-23e4cebf732.ldb' because it is being used by another process"). I’ve tried closing applications, restarting, and checking permissions, but the issue persists. The WorldServer Compatibility Pack versions on the AppStore (e.g., 2021, 2022) don’t match my version, and I’m unable to log into the support portal (redirects to a Gateway Login Error). Please provide the correct compatibility pack or a solution.

Question improvement suggestion: Provide the exact version of the WorldServer Compatibility Pack you are looking for, as well as any specific error messages encountered during installation.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

To resolve the issue of not being able to open a WorldServer package (.wsxz) in Trados Studio 2019 SR2, please follow these steps:

**Step 1:** Ensure that you have the correct version of the WorldServer Compatibility Pack installed for Trados Studio 2019. Since you mentioned that the versions available on the AppStore do not match, you may need to look for the specific compatibility pack for your version.

**Step 2:** If you haven't already, try closing all applications that might be using the file, including Trados Studio, and then restart your computer. This can help release any file locks that may be causing the access error.

**Step 3:** Check the permissions of the file and the folder where the WorldServer package is located. Ensure that you have full access rights.

**Step 4:** If the issue persists, consider using the workaround of changing the file extension from .wsxz to .zip, extracting the contents, and then removing the TBX and XCS files. After that, re-zip the contents and rename it back to .wsxz. This will allow you to open the package without the term database.

**Step 5:** If you are still unable to resolve the issue, it may be beneficial to check for updates within the application or consult the RWS AppStore for any additional resources or updates related to the WorldServer Compatibility Pack.
