Hi Greta Magyar , I’ve not used this plugin myself, so the original developer may be able to confirm any specifics.

Purely from a regex perspective: if your goal is just to change the attribute value (and keep everything else in the segment intact), you don’t need to match the whole <cf>…</cf> pair.

Simplest (matches only the opening tag)

Find (regex):

<cf\s+highlight=Yellow>

Replace with:

<cf highlight=Blue>

This will turn:

some text <cf highlight=Yellow> more text</cf> more text.

into:

some text <cf highlight=Blue> more text</cf> more text.

Or a more robust (only replace “Yellow”, keep spacing/formatting)

If you want to keep whatever spacing exists and only change the value:

Find (regex):

(<cf\s+highlight=)Yellow

Replace with:

$1Blue

However none of them worked:

The tag remained unchanged. I'm wondering if this kind of change is unsupported? Or maybe because it's a tag this kind of update doesn't work as a conversion?

There are plenty of options to remove tags from the source with the default options, like these:


So maybe the conversions are less for the tags but more for the textual content change?

I guess we could take the target as is, for this customer usually Word docs, and add it as a new source to the project, then run the Cleanup Source task, removing all the highlighting tags and copy source to target, to get around this?  It's a bit longer but would do the job.
