Question about SDL App called TransitPackage Handler

Hello, There I just want to know about App called "Transit Package Handler". What is PPF file format and with what I can make PPF file? Also, After finishing job, what is the result by using this tool?

PPF is a Project Package File that is created by Star Transit. Star Transit is another CAT tool and this is their equivalent to our SDL Package, sdlppx. So you would open the PPF with this app in Studio and it will extract the files to create an sdlxliff(s), and also optionally extract any TMs that are included in the package, and create a Studio Project. 
 
You work on the project and when done you create the return package with the app and this gives you a TPF (Translation Package File). The TPF is returned to your client who is using Star Transit. 
 
So the objective of the app is to save you having to work in Star Transit if you prefer working with Studio.
