Is it possible to use a keyboard shortcut to close the Web Lookup window?

Hello.

I usually use a keyboard shortcut to open the Web Lookup window, but I need to click on the little cross on the top-right corner to close it.

Is it possible to use a keyboard shortcut to close the Web Lookup window?

Thanks.

I agree it would be great to able to close Web Lookup from the keyboard, but I'm afraid it is not possible to implement such a feature. At least as far as I understand, it is not possible to close any of the parts of the editor window in Studio using the keyboard. This goes for the built-in parts too, such as the concordance search and term recognition. Paul's suggestion is probably the best one, i.e. to set it to Auto Hide, since ...

In the coming release, as Michael mentions, pressing Esc will return the focus to the translation grid and thus the Web Lookup window will slide away if it is set to Auto Hide. This will only work by having the lookup command put the focus in the Web Lookup window, or else it will immediately close again (which is the case in the current release).

I believe the most user friendly behaviour supporting this will be:

    - Executing the lookup command will move focus to the Web Lookup tabs (with the positive side-effect that you will quickly be able to browse through the tabs using the arrow keys).
    - Pressing Esc when the focus is on the tabs will return focus to the translation grid.
    - Pressing Esc when the focus is on a web page will move focus to the Web Lookup tabs.
