I have encountered the following problem when using the SDLXLIFF converter several times: The converter does not import the translations.
So that got me thinking: perhaps we can create a supplemental app that can create a TMX file from the DOCX generated by the converter. [I would think the workaround I am thinking of is fairly obvious...]
What do you think?
If the converted does not import a translation that might be a bug. I have never faced this problem, using the converter many times. Did you check the "Settings" Tab in the converter? In the subgroup "Segment update" the "Update content of segments with tracked changes only" is selected by default. That means, that all othere changes are ignored (the initial idea of the filter was to use it for word based reviews). However, you can also change to "Update content of all segments".
Please also check the subgroup "Exclusions". There shoudl be nothing activated if you want to import everything back.

The solution is simple. Open the source sdlxliff file and copy all source to target. Save the file. Now you should be able to import the translations from previously generated docx file. The SDL XLIFF Converter cannot import the translations to an empty sdlxliff file. Mainly because it was supposed to be a review tool...

Yes, all source files have been populated with the "Copy source to target", but it still did not import. This is very frustrating.

So the problem was due fact the DOCX file was generated from different SDL XLIFF file then into which you tried to import it.
I fixed it manually and sent you updated file - I guess we can set this issue as solved.

As I explained in private email, one of the experiments I did after I had run out of more obvious solutions was to delete the original file and re-prepare the file for translation. So that was only to be expected.
But I would like to thank Patrik publicly for making the effort!
