I know Visual Studio is the recommended development environment for Studio, but the cost of Visual Studio is very prohibitive. As my primary job is not as a developer, my company cannot afford to get a Visual Studio license. Are there any other development environments that I can use to create plug-ins and other apps in Studio? Do any lighter development environments support the Studio API?
