sdk Installation & license issues

we are trying to automate some part of sdl related processing.

In our .net project. we are trying to reference the dlls from the C:\Program Files (x86)\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio3. When I run my project, I am getting the licensing exception.

System.ArgumentException: Invalid filechck.dll

I have the licensed trados studio version installed and I am able to run that too.

what could be wrong here?


I also tried installing sdk 2014 from the link

It downloads a file with name SDLTradosStudio2014SDK which is not installable.

  • Hi Rob,

    I just tried to download the sdk and it's an .exe file  as you can see in the screenshot. Once you run the installer it will install a couple of sample projects using Studio SDK and a link to open exchange. Regarding licence exception there are 2 possible root causes:

    1. If you are developing a stand-alone application which tries to use some of the Studio assemblies please have a look at this discussion (issue with licensing appears at the end of the thread).

    2. If first point is not your working for you and if you are using network licencing please have a look at this discussion.
