A unpacked file was double-clicked, and the item is indicated, but nothing is written on a medium.

Can you try and unblock the chm? If you don't know how to do it have a look here:

I could see the contents of the files.[;)]
I copied the files in the USB memory and opened those by my XP PC.
Then the contents of each item were seen.
I'm sorry, but I'm not trying this procedure.
