Merging translation memories

I would like to know how to merge Translation Memories. I have many memories on my computer that I created while I was learning how to properly use the software, and now I see that maybe it was not the best way because it is a bit inefficient. So, I want to know the best method for merging them into as few as possible. Also how to find them!
