What is the role of the various fields in the manifest?

Hi, 
 
 I coudln't understand what is the role of the PlugInName, Version & Description fields in the manifest file. 
 I don't see those values anywhere in Trados, and I'm not sure what are they used for. 
 Where can I see the Name, Version and Description that are defined in the manifest?

The name is visible in the in the add-ins tab and both name and description is used by the plug-in installer

If you go to Add-ins tab you will find an option to see all the active plugins. You can enable/disable them from this screen. Regarding versioning the article shared by Paul will give all the information you need.
