Add-ins are not an applicable solution for organizations, such as my own, that block non-approved add-ins.

Such add-ons should be white-listed by organizations if they help users be more productive and achieve higher quality in their work. (I know not always straightforward).

Since it is AI-based, it would likely not be approved due to the heavy restrictions in deploying AI-based solutions internally.

I think that is just marketing blurb... Language Tool has been around for a very long time and only recently has added AI. The traditional spell check is definitely non-AI - it's more the rewrite use cases and more recent features that might use AI. In any event, Language Tool has had a long history of a trusted solution for the spell and grammar check use case.

For many companies, onboarding an additional tool for spellchecking creates additional and unnecessary overhead. It is quite a glaring omission for a full-featured translation management system such as Trados Enterprise to not have this type of essential functionality built in and ask its users to make do with third-party solutions

I couldn´t agree more - getting any new software onboarded for this would require a product responsible person on our side, NDAs with the company and a full risk-evaluation and regular follow-ups. We are doing this with RWS/Trados (took me quite some time and efforts get clearance) but I am hesitant and understand both Russell Banton  and Filippo Rizzi  on this.
