In RWS TMS, there is a concept called "Associate TM".
What it does: say you have a TM in a sub-location or sibling location, which needs to be used in a different location where it is currently not visible, but due to internal policies you also can't just move it to a higher location. Using the "Associate TM" concept allows you to create a clone of the original TM at the individual locations which are convenient to you. The two TMs will be in sync, always containing the same content.
This would be useful in TE in general, and in particular when migrating customers from RWS TMS who are already using this feature.
