Locking Repetitions Excluding First Occurance when 100% or Cotext Match

Currently under "Settings > Batch Tasks > Pre-Processing Settings > After Applying Translations" in specific templates, it's possible to lock 100% and Context Matches. However it would be good to be able to lock repetitions excluding first occurance when they come as 100% and/or Context Match from the TM.

    Yeah, I see your point there. This is based on the assumption that 100%/CM matches are not edited but in that case all 100%/CM matches could be locked anyways.

    And what is the expected behavior afterwards. If you change the first occurence with the rest of them being locked, only first one will be changed, is that what you are looking after?

    "If your first occurence doesn't have 100%/CM match, you need to update it..." -- Exactly! That's why I would need this locking function for repetitions if only the first occurance is 100%/CM match.

    "If first occurence is 100% match so will be all other occurences and they will get locked based on the existing rule" this is also true but with the existing 100% lock rule, all 100% match segments will be locked, not only 100% match repetitions.

  • You cannot really do that. If your first occurence doesn't have 100%/CM match, you need to update it and such update needs to propagate to all repeated segments, If they are locked they would not update. If first occurence is 100% match so will be all other occurences and they will get locked based on the existing rule.
