Make Entry-Level Termbase fields visible in the Online Editor

We have the necessity to display entry level fields that are defined for terms.

While it is possible to adjust the termbase view settings in Trados Studio, there is no way to show the field content in the Online Editor.

The only way to view this is to click on the upper left "arrow mark"

Close-up of Trados Online Editor showing the 'Lookups' section with terms listed and an arrow icon indicating expansion for more details.

to expand to the terms view where the entry level field is shown (Tool Category: DIY)

Trados Enterprise interface with an 'Add entry level field' section highlighted, showing the term 'BA 18-12' with a preferred status and a testing note.

Please allow to influence the Online Editor lookup settings to show entry level terminology fields

  • HI Bernhard,

We recently introduced some additional configuration settings to control how terminology is displayed from the Online Editor. The corresponding release notes are available here. Specifically:

    • You can now specify which Termbases should be used for lookup in a Translation Engine.
    • In Project Settings you can now define which fields are to be shown in termbase lookups from the Online Editor.
    • It is now possible to define filters in Project Settings which will subsequently be applied for terminology verification and when performing terminology lookups in the Online Editor.

I believe this addresses the request raised in this idea but please let me know otherwise.

    Cheers,

    Ian
