Project Templates - automatically sorted alphabetically in the Project creation wizard and also the Project Templates tab in Resources

Hi,

In Trados Team (and I assume Accelerate and Enterprise too) is there a way to automatically have the list of Project Templates sorted alphabetically in the Project Creation Wizard rather than having to do it manually each time?

It seems to list time in the order in which they are created rather than alphabetically (like the way customers etc. are all listed).

This behaviour also seems to be the default in the Project Templates tab under Resources too so it would be nice if it could be fixed there too.

    I would also like to see this in Trados Enterprise. I'm curious to know why the default cannot be sorted alphabetically because it works for other types of resources.

    The following echoes some of what you shared but to share what I see in Trados Enterprise:

    • I can sort all other resources alphabetically in the Name column and TE remembers that preference.
    • If I sort the Name column for Project Templates, it saves my preference for that session but reverts back to a Last Created order upon a new session.
    • When I go to the Project Creation Wizard, the Project Templates are always sorted by Last Created, which can be troublesome to work with if the organization has a lot of templates and you need to search for a name that's not sorted alphabetically.
    • Interestingly enough, if I create a Project in the Customer Portal, the Project Template dropdown box is sorted alphabetically. So in theory, I would assume that this should be possible as well in the regular UI.

    Hopefully, we can get a bump on this idea to give it some traction.
