We propose enhancing the collaboration workflow by granting assigned translators access to the Project Conversation feature. Enabling this functionality would significantly improve communication efficiency and transparency, allowing project stakeholders to exchange relevant information and inquiries directly within the platform, with the added benefit of email notifications.
Currently, under the Roles → Project Conversations settings, all permissions (View Comments, Create Comments, Edit Own Comment, Delete Own Comment, and Manage Comments) are enabled for the translator role. However, translators are still unable to access the Conversation tab or receive related email notifications. This limitation hinders effective communication and delays issue resolution.
We understand from RWS that this is considered a design choice rather than a technical issue. Nevertheless, we believe that enabling this feature for translators would enhance project coordination and responsiveness.
