Would it be possible to store comment input in the translation unit (i.e. IDs or developer input) to better distinguish identical strings (e.g. with different length restriction) by confirming a segment (e.g. translated)? I could imagine that we do it for all or individual strings. The avobe-mentioned app stamps your translation units with:

• The filename you are working on
• The filename plus it’s full path
• The project name

We would need comments in the XML to be stored in the translation unit as meta data/context that might be used for advanced matching (in future projects).
This should also work in the Trados Team/Enterprise context without Studio. Thank you!
