Enable Trados Studio to Export a Project Terminology List (termbase) Relevant to the Current Translation Project

Suggestion:

Enable Trados Studio (desktop software) to export a project terminology list that is specifically relevant to the current translation project.

Translation Requirements:

1 This is a Trados Studio (desktop software) translation project, with a total of 151 segments to be translated.

Trados Studio interface showing 151 segments to be translated, with highlighted text and a red box around segments 149 to 151.

2 The translators have loaded a comprehensive terminology termbase for this language pair, which is an accumulated large termbase containing approximately 30,000 entries (including both source language terms and their translations).

Trados Studio interface displaying a termbase viewer with approximately 30,000 entries, highlighted in red, and a translation segment in focus.

3 In practice, although the terminology database contains 30,000 entries, for a translation project of 151 segments, only about 100 term entries may actually be relevant and used in this particular project.

Trados Studio interface showing a segment with green annotations and a red arrow pointing to text indicating 100 relevant term entries for the project.

4 Trados Studio (desktop software) should be able to export a terminology list (project termbase) that includes only the terms relevant to the current translation project—i.e., all terms that can be used within this project. Translators should be allowed to set the match value for the terms to be exported, ensuring that terminology entries reflecting variations such as singular/plural forms, gender, or part of speech are also exported. This would enable translators to review and confirm only the terminologies pertinent to the current project, or to use the termbase list for other purposes.
