Font size for comments

Some of us have trouble to see very small font sizes, like comments. There should be a way to make it bigger.

Generally speaking, anything that could be done to make Trados visually comfortable would be nice.

Please note I use Trados 2021 and I have no intention of upgrading. I already did and had to roll back because of issues in the interaction between Trados and Multiterm. I would love a solution for comments that could be applied to all Trados versions.

    Online does not work in a plane, it does not even work on a train. Online is limited to a browser editor, which is still far beyond the editor in Studio. Which is still not as good as Word for example. But fits a different purpose. MT is a tool and far from what has been "promised" or is being advertised. The "most precise translator in the world" delivers translations ruining the whole document with one sentence. I am all for using tools in their given variety, but I'd like to have the potential of my machine. Also I admire to have my files stored locally on a NAS and backuped on 3 more NAS stations. And I cannot lose the feeling, that all this AI is patronizing me. I am able to perform my tasks in my way and on my own. Due to the ISO 17100 I must have a documented process on doing translations. Using cloud solutions might also be a breach of my customer agreements.

    So I really rely on the desktop tools and do not understand myself as a dinosaur. There are viable reasons to keep the desktop solutions.

    Yes... the elephant in the room.  I can recall translators, in the not so distant past, saying how they would never use MT for all sorts of reasons... quality, need to be online, security etc.  Today if a service is down, or we don't have support for the AI solution of their choice, you'd think the world had caved in!  So yes, not being able to get online is a potential problem.  But also how things have changed as technology improves and translators see some benefit for themselves as well.

    I think as the whole world goes online it's already become something we don't even think about until we lose it... and then there's hell to pay.  But with all the new services appearing as online only options, and as we start to take this for granted, I think it won't be long before we all feel the same way about translating and whether we are online or not won't even be a question... it'll be a given, and that's the real world.

    "I work with my client via groupshare"

    GroupShare also has this Online Editor, so your client could make it available to you for translation work.  You wouldn't get the choice to put this into your own cloud unless your client gave you permission, or you were able to recreate the project (not desirable).

    But for your own projects it's an option.

    I just watched the video (at Getting started with cloud capabilities), and it's true that it looks great. My only worries are about confidentiality, long term availability of the resources I would store in the cloud, ability to remigrate my resources to my computer in their original format and definitely erase them from the cloud if I decide to go local again, and the actual issues/ability to work related to the absence of a connection... In the video, everything seems seamless. But, what about it in the real world?
