Setting to partially delivered - it's available in the cloud offerings, including the free Trados Studio cloud capabilities. So for anyone working with cloud resources, this is now available.

Possibility to manually add a new translation unit to a TM

It would be very practical in certain cases to be able to manually add a new translation unit to a TM, where you type in (or paste in) your source and target segments. In terms of settings information, the TM could automatically add some default parameters, such as "manually added TU".

  • This is an excellent idea for one-off quick translations for which we cannot be bothered creating a project just to commit a new translation unit to the TM. If you know which TM(s) you want to have the translation unit, a quick access to such a feature would be really convenient, and would sometimes help save a lot of time. In other words, +1 from me.

  • I love this idea! In our company we are often asked to translate only one sentence or expression by e-mail -> not enough volume to copy it into a file and create a project. So these single-line translations normally get lost...

  • Hmnn... don't think the API for the TM Maintenance View is developed enough to support this so it would need to be a completely new TM editor.  Not worth it just to be able to add a TU to a TM and too much work to create an app as a more functional editor.  But I will check.
