Unifying settings into one item for the feature Overwrite

I think it is confusing that SDL Trados settings show 2 misleadingly different options.

Also, when you say "existing translation unit", do you mean "existing in the TM" or "existing in the bilingual xliff file"?? It is very confusing. See images:
Batch processing > Translation memory updates > If target segments differ >
Merge translation units
Add new translation units
Overwrite existing translation units
Leave translation units unchanged
Keep most recent translation units

But then you also have...
Language Pairs > Pre-translate Files> Translation overwrite mode>
Keep existing translation
Overwrite existing translation if better match found
Always overwrite existing translation

Hi Carolina,

It's two different things. The first one is for the TM (Translation memory updates) , so that refers to units stored in the TM, which is what's getting updated with this task. The second one is for pre-translating your files (Pre-translate Files), so those options refer to the bilingual SDLXLIFF file.

These are two completely different things Carolina Resa . One relates to updating a Translation Memory from a translated bilingual file, and the other relates to updating a bilingual file from a Translation memory. How can they be unified?
