Thanks for posting this idea for SDL TMS. I'll put it up for community review but the description that you've given sounds like it could be achieved through the SDL TMS API and a customization. Have you considered asking our Professional Services organization whether it's something that they could deliver?

Offer an option to lock and unlock reps in TMS jobs

SDL AppStore offers an app called Integrated Segment Actions. We would like to be able to do this without taking TMS jobs off line.

 

Example workflow:

1. Copy source to target

2. Apply TM with minimum match value 100%

3. Lock 100% Matches/Context matches

4. Lock reps

5. Apply TM with minimum match value 75%

6. Analysis should report locked segments separately

Linguists translate and upload translation to TMS

7. Create a temp TM with translation

8. Unlock reps

9. Apply the temp translation TM

Linguists review and also translate if there were any new/fuzzy left

Features:

- Lock 100% matches.
- Lock and mark repetitions as rejected in order to deal with them later.
- Revert poor machine translations to source.
- Revert fuzzy matches to source.
- And more!

After doing this you can - if selected - undo changes by restoring files from Trash, but keep in mind that not all file servers support Trash. You will also be able to see the the number of affected segments and optionally redo the action while keeping the dialog open.
Leaving all filter options unchecked will mean that all segments in the selected project/files are affected by the action.
