Hi Jeff,

Thanks for your idea to help us improve SDL TMS. There are some difficulties with removing language pairs from configurations as there is a "live" link between the job and the configuration and removing language pairs could be troublesome. However, I can see that it might be easier to "disable" a language pair for new jobs - is that something that would meet your requirements?

Thanks,

David

Remove Language Pair from Config When in Use

Would like to be able to remove a language pair from a configuration even if TMS considers it to be In Use.

Today the problem is that I can't remove a language pair from a config until all jobs are Complete.  Trying to get stakeholders to stop using it while waiting for existing jobs to finish can be difficult, causing an ongoing "lock" on the language pair and delays being able to actually remove it.

  • Hi, David.  Disabling a language pair for new jobs would work as long as that disabling was done at the configuration level.

In other words, if I want to remove German from a configuration, that doesn't mean I want to remove it from all configurations.  I think it would need to be config by config.
