Copy & Paste from Draft Space XML Source Code view

One common thing I try (unsuccessfully) to do is to view the XML source code in Draft Space and copy a GUID from there to allow myself to easily lookup a topic, for instance, using the built-in CM search functionality in Tridion Docs. Unfortunately, I can't copy the GUID, which means I generally have to type out the full GUID or find another way to lookup the item.

  • Unless I'm on a different version of draft space, the GUID is actually selectable even though it's grayed out. Personally, however, I think it should be hotlinked so that I can just click it to run a search for it in Content Manager. Having these GUID-based systems but not using the GUIDs for anything seems a little sad.
