Draft Space - figures and inline images - add ability to use external references from CDN/DAM

We manage a large repository of images in a DAM and can reference these images via an external link/CDN reference.

Would like ability to use external reference / URL link to the image in a Figure or Inline Image as opposed to having to duplicate the image and upload into TridionDocs.

  • Especially when publishing towards DXD and using of the content including the images in an online context this request totally makes sense, also from out point of view.

    But also for other types of documents with additional output formats than DXD, using a DAM as single source of truth for any image information is a common way of working.
