Thanks for the post Scott. I think its a good idea that could be explored further. Some of the questions could be -
- How do the end users intend to use the exported comments for e.g. in a csv format. Is it for reporting purposes or does it needs to be imported to another system? Some details about the user profile could be helpful.
- What data points should be included in the export? Should it contain all annotations or only the ones that are shared?
- Should there be an option to export filtered list of annotations?
- Should there be an option to import annotations as csv?
I agree. This would make it easier to get an overview of the comments, especially when you need to review the original content. It seems like Fonto already has the capability to export comments as .csv, so I would think this should an option in Collective Spaces.
