Idea Delivered

In Tridion Sites 10 it is possible to configure your lists and add custom filter and sorting. Every user can configure their own required setup.

In addition it is possible to add custom columns using UI Extensions.

Improve list customizability in the Content Manager Explorer

For all lists in the system, there should be the capability to have enhanced filtering and sorting. The user should be able to filter based upon a certain attribute.

  • Thanks for the detail, . Much appreciated!

To reply specifically to your examples:

    - Published State is already visible, but it's a flag showing if an item is published at all, rather than to a specific Target/purpose

    - Expired State is implementation specific. I'm guessing this is Workflow Status.

    - # of uses sounds interesting, but possibly expensive. I'm definitely for more information closer to the user (Where Used), but we might need to balance performance with user experience

    - If localized version means version, it could just be "version" (history), since it'd be the same whether it's a parent or child item

    - Parent/child status is implied by the "from" column. But maybe it could be clearer? We've also seen related requests to jump to the parent version of an item.

  • We have a similar request. The existing CME list provides Name, Type, From Publication and Modified as the available column categories. Users can be more efficient in working with CME list if they were able to add column categories with relevant information to help them identify pages and components fitting specific criteria without having to click on individual items in the list view. Examples of relevant content are; Published State, Expired State, Author, Workflow State, # of uses, localized version, parent or child, etc.

Each column should have filtering functionality as seen in current CME lists.
