We are pleased to announce the availability of SDL XPP 9.3.
The XPP 9.3 Release Notes contain information on all of the new features and feature enhancements in this new version release.
Here are some highlights:
- Tabular ruling capabilities have been enhanced to allow multiple styles, to control ruling color, pattern and style down to the cell level and determine the order in which rules are drawn.
Special thanks to the Tabular Ruling Focus Group participants for providing input and feedback throughout the design, development and release of these time saving capabilities. - Spell Check enhancements include building and using Exclusion dictionaries; and conditional reporting on repeated words and improper sentence starts.
- CSS enhancements include CSS Paged Media support, support for the CSS style attribute, ability to call XyMacros directly from within CSS without having to go through “XyPerl,” and more.
- Pathfinder has been streamlined to allow faster access to Job/Division Tools and now provides the ability to create custom workflows by allowing the assignment of PERL scripts to Pathfinder menu commands for greater control of the order tasks are performed.
- Late breaking news: PDF Security Settings are now available for Direct to PDF users to set via a new PDF Security frame on the PS/PDF tab of the Print dialog.
We are thrilled to report this high priority request, which was raised and voted on at the recent XyUser Group Conference, made it into the XPP 9.3 release.
