Does XPP turn off widow orphan rules when processing a CALS table? After xpp runs the "tgroup" macro the %wotype returns 0.

Hi Luke,
I'm assuming you were asking about the widow/orphan setting within the table while I think Chris was checking the widow/orphan setting after the end of the table.
XPP does reset widow/orphan to "none" at the beginning of a table and rows and columns. This is true for both "classic" and CALS tables.
For CALS tables, if you want to establish widow/orphan rules within the table one way to do that would be in tandem with using tags inside the table cells and setting widow/orphan rules with those tags.
