On behalf of the XyUser Board of Directors, I would like to invite all users to attend this year’s conference Sept. 18 to 21, at Sunny Isles in the greater Miami area.
So that you can begin to plan, conference logistics are included below. More details are available at the XyUser Group web site, xyug.org.
HOTEL REGISTRATION
The conference will take place at the Trump International Beach Resort Miami. (And before we go any further, let me just add that the XyUser Group has no political affiliation! Haha) Information about hotel registration will be available within a few days. Please wait for this information before reserving your room. So that you may begin your budget process, the room rate for conference attendees is $219/night, which includes the wifi, fitness center, sauna, pool and beach gratuities, lounge chairs at the pool, free calls as if anyone uses THAT.
CONFERENCE REGISTRATION
You must register and pay for conference attendance at the xyug.org web site, which you can do at any time. (Conference fee is separate from hotel fee.)
MOBILE APP
New this year will be a mobile app with all the conference information! You will be able to download QuickMobile, an app for iPhone and Android devices, which will have all the conference information, such as session descriptions, times and locations; maps; presenter info; and surveys. You can create your own conference agenda and link to Facebook and Twitter to post comments and pictures. QuickMobile also has a mobile web app that will work on other devices and laptops. This will replace the PDF brochure and other paper resources. Go green! More information on this will be forthcoming from board member Shawn Aruch, who is overseeing this effort.
SESSION TOPICS
The conference format involves three day-long “mini clinics” on Sunday for an additional fee. On Monday through Wednesday, there are concurrent sessions of 1 hour 15 minutes each (two in the morning and two in the afternoon time slots) on various topics related to XPP and Contenta. Meals that are included for conference attendees are breakfast and lunch Monday through Wednesday, a cocktail and hors d’oevres reception on Sunday evening and a special dinner event on Monday. The sessions and social events offer opportunities to meet fellow XPP’ers, ask questions, learn how others are using the software, etc.
