Hi all,
We have recently released Language Weaver Edge 8.5.6 (please see this post for more details about 8.5.6)
Our team has just identified a race condition with large document translations. If the translation job is taking more than 30 minutes to complete, it may enter into a loop and never complete, leading to a failed translation. The Job Engine will attempt to restart it automatically, and thanks to the Translation Engine cache, we expect that most of the large jobs will still complete successfully and that this issue will have a limited impact.
We identified the root cause and the affected component, and we are addressing this issue as soon as possible. As a result, we will issue a Hotfix release in the coming days. The version will be 8.5.7.
Language Weaver Edge 8.5.7 will also include 2 additional fixes:
- Fix for the User Feedback Submission Roles support - in 8.5.6, you can configure the roles allowed to submit feedback for Real-Time Adaptation. While this is implemented at API level, the UI is not fully reflecting the change and the "Suggest a Better Translation" option is still visible to all users.
- Fix to allow Adaptable LP training with up to 30 million Translation Units.
If you have already upgraded to Language Weaver Edge 8.5.6, we would recommend to plan the upgrade to 8.5.7 as soon as it is available.
If you have not upgraded to Language Weaver Edge 8.5.6, we would recommend to wait for 8.5.7 to be released and move directly to 8.5.7.
We will inform you as soon as 8.5.7 is released. We apologize for the inconvenience, and the Language Weaver team is available to answer any question you may have,
Best regards,
Arnaud
