I was working on your issue and got some results. When I use port 25, I get same error message. Tried to use telnet to connect to my smtp server with port 25, but failed. I'm fully sure that it worked few months ago. Then I switched to SSL connection and port 587, and everything worked well - message was successfully sent. So, recommend you to try the same.

my connection is through SSL 587 port, does has to do with me being in china, as some services are blocked. kindly advise. i am using outlook mailing server. and my mail is registered in US.
Hello Saleem, can you please check questions above and answer them? Also, can you provide settings you use in the mail configuration (except user name and password, of course, just smtp server, and port we already know).
1. If you send a message without files, it works well?
yes.
2. If you select some small file (few Kbs), it works?
small files sometimes don't work neiter
3. You get this error all the time, no matter how many attempts you make to send this message? I mean, maybe it gives an error with first few tries, but then message will be finally sent?
sometimes it works but mostly not
regarding the configuration:

port587
SSL activated
Maybe found an issue. Please try to install 5.3.37 - you should see Update available button if you start TBM from now. Will be waiting for results...

as I watched the tutorial of installation of TBM v6 it stated there are online version and desktop version.
though my account portal provided upgrade is only allow me download the online version. which we are not familiar with.
