Excuse me, probably this wasn't clearly mentioned in the changelog. We have switched to different Grid component, which is faster, allowed us to implement better filtering (as you may have noticed), but we have lost column width adjustments. So, now this width adjustment settings aren't convenient - you open customization screen, double click on the filed, and set desired width (in pixels or %). Then you click Save, and probably refresh a page to see new widths. In future versions Grid vendor promised to implement width adjustment with mouse. But for now we have decided that performance and better filtering is more important than width adjustment.

This list view configuration screen should have preview, I know, but it wasn't implemented yet

How disappointing, Eugene. Column adjustment is essential functionality and it now requires going under the hood, plus considerable trial and error to get every single column the desired width. In addition, column 1 (filter and editing symbols) jumps to the middle every time I move away from the jobs list and I have to drag it back to the left every time. 

This Grid component seems less flexible than the previous one. Before, we could choose to make a date column narrow so that the time doesn't show. We could make the status column narrow enough to display the symbol only. We could adjust font size without it destroying column width and having to readjust the columns all over again. 

I've just done all that for the Translation jobs list. I haven't the time or energy to do the same with the invoices list, so it will have to stay with equal-width columns for the time being.

Ok, Emma, your feedback is very important. I will think how to implement better column resizing, right inside the grid, but it won't be resizing by mouse dragging, some other method.

Just made some research, and found only one grid where column resizing is implemented effectively, take a look:

But we can't use this grid anyway.

This will look like this:

Small customization row above the table. You select a field, change width or caption, changes are reflected in the list below. Also buttons to add or remove columns are planned..

Also decided to work a but on wrapping in cells. As you see, now plan to switch to 2 max lines, then display ellipsis with displaying a value on mouse hover.

So, in general it should become more compact and user-friendly.

This looks great, Eugene! I hope the customization row above the table will appear only when needed, and not take up space all the time? If so, it seems an excellent solution.

The max 2 lines also makes sense and will keep the list view more compact, although I like to keep all entries on a single line, to get as much info on the screen as possible.
