Sorry, I didn't get notified of the reply and forgot to check.

It's not showing up in Recipients when I'm sending it by email.

The Default invoice file name was set to {0}. I'd like it to be YYYMM-CLIENT-INVOICENO if possible.

So, if you set this value there:

{1:yyyMM}-{2}-{0}

will that work? Or still some remaining issues?

Please note that {2} variable is client code, not client name, as client names are frequently pretty long, with unsupported characters, while you can set client code as pretty short and descriptive value which is better to use in file names.

Okay, the invoice name seems to be correct now. I still need to get the client e-mail addresses to automatically be selected when I try to e-mail the invoice, though. As it is, I have to go through and search for the e-mail address even though I have the "invoicing matters" box checked.

I think it should already be fixed. When invoice is created, first found client contact with Invoicing matter checkbox checked should now be automatically pre-selected. Right now I don't remember version number, but it was done in one of latest updates. Can you please install (if still didn't) last update, then try to create invoice. Will Customer contact field be populated automatically? I believe it should!

It didn't work this time, but the changelog says it saves the contact for next time, so I'll see what happens after this next round of invoices.

But you can select any job, and click Create invoice to see if it works. And then click Cancel in the modal dialog. So no need to wait for next round

Recipients is still empty.

That's just can't be! Look, to be fully clear, here are my steps.

1. Open some customer. Go to contacts, and create 2 contacts (one invoicing one not):
   
2. Go to job list and find any job for this customer:
   
3. Click Create invoice and check Customer contact field:
   So, system automatically picked up a contact I have just created. If I change another contact (for example, customer has multiple Invoicing matters contacts), the system will save it and select it automatically next time I create invoice for this customer.

So, for you it behaves not as on these screenshots? Can't believe, cause I checked logic now and it should not fail.

Yes, I have all of those settings, and for some reason when I create the emails no contact is selected. If I search for them, I can add them to the email, but that's an extra step I wish I didn't have to do.

I've just discovered if I do "Message to client(s)" from the invoice rather than "Print" and try to send the invoice from there, it works. Maybe I was using the wrong procedure? Previously, I was doing "Print," selecting the PDF template and then e-mailing from there.

Uggh, new problem though. If I do it the other way, using "Message to client(s)," the PDF is missing my name, address and email address. So strange.

Confirm the problem, was able to reproduce it. Indeed, when generating PDF not by clicking Print button, user's data is empty! We'll fix it in upcoming 6.1.62. Thank you very much for helping finding it.
