Now the software is sending to the right person, but the attachment is missing. How can I check to make sure there is an attachment before pressing "Send"? In the state below, it does not attach a file, even though it says there is a linked invoice.
Oh, it does seem that if I change the status of the invoice to "approved" it will be attached. Is this something new? I don't remember having to do this in the past.

Actually, when invoice has a PDF document generate and attached, then each time you create a mail message over an invoice, it should get attached file as well (no matter if invoice is approved or not). If it doesn't happen, then I think we could consider it as a bug.
I just tried to reproduce, but to no avail, always get file attached to a generated mail message. Maybe you can guide what should I do to get the same issue?

When I do invoices, I do batch invoicing. I have it set to create the PDFs. Then when I go to send the invoice it appears as you see in the screenshot. But if the status is "Draft," the email sends with no attachment.
