Comprehensive Functional Issues in Trados – Input, Deletion, and Unexpected Menu Actions

I am currently experiencing multiple functional issues with Trados, both in my version for freelancers and my Professional version at work, which are disrupting my translation process. Your guidance on these matters would be greatly appreciated. Below are the detailed descriptions of the problems:

  1. Non-Responsive Show Lookups Panel: Clicking the icon for the "Show Lookups Panel" results in no action, and the panel does not open.
  2. Misleading Error Icon: An error icon (a red circle with a cross inside) inaccurately indicates errors on sentences that are correct.
  3. Input Issue in Target Language Segment: Typing in the target language segment is limited, allowing only the first letter of a word to be entered.
  4. Deletion Limitation in Target Language Segment: Deleting text is also limited, permitting only the removal of the first letter of a word.
  5. Change in "Confirm" Button Functionality: Recently, when I click the "Confirm" button, a new menu appears with options, including 'Confirm and Move to Next Unconfirmed Segment'. This additional step was not present yesterday and has added an unnecessary layer of complexity to my workflow.
  6. Change in "Copy Source" Button Functionality: Recently, when I click the "Copy" button, a new menu appears. This additional step was not present  yesterday and has added an unnecessary layer of complexity to my workflow.

    More information about this issue: Steps to Reproduce:

    • Show Lookups Panel:
      1. Open Trados.
      2. Attempt to activate the "Show Lookups Panel" by clicking its icon.
      3. Observe no response.
    • Error Icon:
      1. Continue working within any project.
      2. Notice error icons on correctly written sentences.
    • Input and Cursor Issues:
      1. Click to type in a target language segment.
      2. Input the first word and press the space bar.
      3. Watch as the cursor jumps to the next segment below.
    • Deletion Issue:
      1. Try deleting beyond the first word in any segment.
      2. Realize further deletion is not possible.
    • "Confirm" Button Issue:
      1. Click the "Confirm" button.
      2. Encounter an unexpected and new menu.

    Expected Results:

    • Functional responsiveness from all software elements.
    • Correct cursor placement allowing continuous text entry within designated segments.
    • Full text manipulation capabilities for both typing and deletion.

    Actual Results:

    • Non-responsive "Show Lookups Panel."
    • Incorrect error icons are displayed.
    • Cursor misplacements and restricted input capabilities after pressing the space bar.
    • Limited deletion capabilities.
    • Unwanted changes in the "Confirm" button functionality.

    We have seen some niggling issues similar to these too (although not the same ones), with individual users rather than across the board. Clearing the browser cache seems to solve the problem.
