Hi Ina Brandt ,  can you confirm if I understood correctly the translation process:

1. Create a project with 2 files in Trados Studio

2. Upload the project in Cloud (you selected the cloud TM and cloud TB)

3. The target file was exported and the changes from the Review stage were not there

I would like to ask after importing the project into Cloud, where did you continue the translation, was it in Trados Studio or in Cloud Online Editor?

How did you try to export the target file? Did you tried to export it from Cloud/Online Editor or from Trados Studio -> Batch task -> Generate target files (Cloud projects)?

Thank you very much for your reply. Yes, this was the procedure I followed. I did the translation mainly in Trados Studio. In Trados Studio, I have the current version I needed to export, in the Cloud Online Editor it is a version without the corrections I made. I tried to export the target file via the Batch task in Trados Studio.

I have meanwhile completed the second file of this project. In the beginning, everything was fine, Trados Studio and Cloud version the same. The  next day I continued and it did no longer synchronize, but one day later it was synchronized. (But only this second file, I checked again for the first file which is still not updated.)

When performing this operation, the Cloud file version is updated with the version from the local drive. Can you please open the first file in Trados Studio and save the content as mentioned above? Then can you open the same file in Cloud Online Editor and check if the local content is there?

Can you please tell me what version of Trados Studio is installed on your computer? You can retrieve this information in Help -> About Trados Studio.

I saved the content, however, it is still not updated in the Cloud. My version is Trados Studio 2021 Freelance (SR2 - 16.2.12.9338)

Just after I have sent my reply above, I opened the Cloud again and indeed, this time it is updated. (It probably took somewhat longer).

What I do not understand is: when I close the file in Trados Studio, it always asks me if I want to save the file and of course, I do. I thought this would be sufficient?

There is a delay time until the local file version is uploaded to the Cloud platform, and that is why it was not shown the correct version after you saved it (sorry I forgot to mention about that part). I made a test on my end and I can confirm that when you close Studio and you are pointed to save before closing, if I click "Yes" the updated file version is uploaded to the Cloud.

Sorry, I have to come back to my problem which I now encounter again. I made some amendments on my translation which are not reflected in the cloud version nor in the exported target file. I have saved the translation in Studio, but now, 30 minutes later, it is not yet updated in the cloud. Do you know why this could be?

Ina Brandt can you please share the Trados Studio log file from today?

Here is the location and hot so save the log file if you cannot find the location:

• C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Local\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\xxxx (where xxxx is the version number)
• For Trados Studio 2021, you can find the log files here: C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio16\logs
• Alternatively, you can open the Trados Studio application and go to Tools > View log file and save the file.

I will also need the exact time when you saved the translated local content to cloud so I can check the call made from Trados Studio to Trados Team.

Ok, I found the files and uploaded them. As to the exact time I saved the local content, can I find it somewhere in the program? I saved it several times to see if it works, the last time probably was some time between 9 am and 9.30.

Maybe this helps to understand the problem: In Trados Studio, I get the message that the cloud version differs from the locally stored one. Do you want to overwrite the local file with the cloud file (which I do not want as the cloud version is the older, non-revised version). Am I missing here a step of synchronization I have to trigger manually?

There are multiple trace IDs during that time frame, if this is still reproducible, can you try to save it once again and then check the trace ID from the Studio log?

The reason why you are getting the error message is because the local file version one is not uploaded to the cloud. I have seen this issue before and it was related to the Windows Regional setting. If the current Windows region is set to Finnish then we found the root cause and this has been raised with the development team (CRQ-26179). As a workaround, at the moment, you have to change the regional setting from Finnish to English United States for example, and the local file version will be uploaded to the Cloud.
