WorldServer plug-in doesn't work: why?

Since I've updated my Trados to 17.2.9.18688 I cannot open any WorldServer package:

Error message in Trados software stating 'Method not found: Sdl.ProjectApi.IApplication Sdl.ProjectApi.ApplicationFactory.CreateApplication (Sdl.BestMatchServiceStudioIntegration.Common.ILanguageCloudService)'.

I have downloaded and installed the latest version of the WS package:

File Explorer window showing 'WorldServerComponents' with a file type of 'Windows Installer Package' and a size of 1,476 KB, last modified on 12122023 at 9:57 AM.

Trados reports 0 installed plug-ins:

Trados software screen showing 'Installed plug-ins' with a count of 0, indicating no plug-ins are installed.

But the WS icons are visible:

Trados software interface displaying WorldServer icons for 'Create WorldServer Return Package' and 'Open WorldServer Package'.

And here I see the WS plug-in:

Trados plug-in management window showing 'WorldServer Package Converter' and 'WsXliff Filter' plug-ins listed as installed.

How can I fix this?
