"Your RWS ID is not linked to any cloud account" -- and yes, I am using the same email address

I have a perpetual Freelance Studio 2024 license. I am trying to install a plugin but I get the error message above. I saw there are other people who had the same issue and were asked if they were using the correct email address. I am using the correct email address, in fact I can log into my RWS account just fine when going through the https://oos.sdl.com/asp/products/ssl/account/ link, but I get the error when inside the desktop app (Studio 2024 Freelance). Do I need a separate cloud subscription? Is it not possible to download plugins with a perpetual Freelance license?

  • @Lydia Simplicio. Could you please do the same for me? I am using Studio 2021 also as a freelancer. The cloud log-in says I must use the invitation email (probably deleted as I never wanted to use the cloud solution for data protection reasons). Can I not get updates or buy plug-ins without the cloud solution now?
