Trados 2024 is slow and hampers productivity

Hi there,

I have upgraded to Trados 2024 a few months ago and find it very slow, especially with any files that contain PPT or tables, and it hampers my productivity ... very annoying as I have spend hundreds for this upgrade, have seen no benefits to me a translator as far as I can see and the softwares is at times almost unusable.

I have already looked for fixes and unticked "Enable verification of segment" ... I have to see whether that is any better, but I have already seen that it does not completely resolve it.

I have also deleted VPR from my desktop, which is not old and should easily be able to cope with Trados, and I have deleted unrequired files of the desktop ...

Trados 2021 worked fine?

Can I go back to 2021 and get a refund, if Trados 2024 does not work?

In general TS2024 is as fast as its predecessors, but... It needs a modern PC. If you PC is older than 5 years or the processor is not an i5/i7 from at least generation 11, it might be really too weak. You also need to have an SSD drive, not a spinning HDD, at least for the data. Also keeping files in OneDrive will slow down your process.

This said, did you upgrade your TMs? Are your TBs reorganized? How many TMs/TBs do you use per project? How big are your TMs?
