WinAlign... the old one?

On Alignment: Does Studio 2021 still include WinAlign? ;)

Great answer on how to use alignment from Ana-Loredana Gabur . But to answer the question, which is about the old WinAlign application which was long before the days of the vast majority of our teams these days...

 Yes it does! You can read a bit more about the applications that are available from the old days here:

 WinAlign in particular is here: 
 c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SDL\T2007\TT\Winalign.exe 
 So you will need to navigate to this location and create a shortcut to winalign.exe if you want a quick way to run it from your desktop, but it's still here and working :-) 
 
 In general I do think the new alignment module in Trados Studio has come on a lot in the last couple of releases, but sometimes it's just nice to get back to old and simple way of handling files :-)

 The new trados studio 2021 contain the alignment function which would align documents created outside of Trados Studio .

 If you install the power pack from the appstore it should get added and you'll still find it here: 
 c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SDL\T2007\TT 
 In general the powerpack simply puts back all the legacy features that were removed.
