Installed SDL Trados 2017. Would like to set my options to default to same language pairs AND always load my termbase. I can't seem to find where to do that in Options. I have to set each time I create a new project.

Best solution: use project templates. This way you can create settings for different purposes including QA, termbases and many more.
But if you really insist in using the worst way to work with Studio via single file, then go to File -> Options and configure all settings you need there.
Please bear in mind however, that changing these settings will NOT influence all already existing projects.

Hi -- I have always had an issue reconfiguring my global settings. I don't know much about project templates as I only need 'one setting' at the present time. Here is how I've configured it (see image). But still, whenever a I create a new project, the language pairs are incorrect (I want English (Canada) to French (Canada). It defaults to English (U.S.) and Germain. As for the termbase, I always have to reload it with each new project.

Paul, this should go to the forum developers in the first place - they should remove that stupid default 320 x 240 pixels size:

Unknown said:The thing is that these miniature pictures are rather common in this forum... and I seriously doubt that it's the users who intentionally make them so miniature... plus, the size of the miniature pictures (320 pixels wide) doesn't look like it's coincidence...
Little test - the following image is created by dragging to the editor the same image file which I uploaded to my previous post... let's see if it will be the miniature...
And this one is pasted:

What kind of test is this Evzen? The point is if you click on these "miniatures" you see the full size image that was loaded. So no problem. The image that caused you to start this discussion is just as small as the "miniature" even if you click on it. So the original was too small. That was all I meant... I could not read it even if you clicked on it, so the default sizing here is completely irrelevant.
Here's another test... can you see the difference?

I'm actually pretty sure that the original was NOT so small... the forum did it.
The question is now how exactly to reproduce it... the filename of the "miniature" says "PastedImage", i.e. it was apparently NOT uploaded, but pasted from clipboard... also, the format of the pasted "miniature" is .jpeg, as opposed to the .png format of image pasted by me...
The conclusion is pretty clear - the final result of the pasted image depends on particular source of the clipboard content...
And the fact that that there is way TOO MANY of such miniatures all over the forum, having too similar "symptoms", that it simply cannot be caused by USERS making them so small (how exactly would you do such shrinked image in clipboard, especially if we are talking about rather "amateurish" users who - let's tell it straight - have often problems with elementary computer usage, i.e. are hardly expected to be able to fiddle in some advanced way with the clipboard content)
