How to deactivate Trados Studio 2017 license if the program doesn't start

Hello, 
 I have a Service &lsquo;Sdl.TranslationStudio.Api.ProjectManagement.IProjectManagement&rsquo; could not be started error message and the program doesn't start. So I would like to uninstall the program and to reinstall it. But how can I deactivate my license in this case?

You don't need to return your licence for a reinstall, it'll be picked up again when you start Studio again. However, this problem might be linked to your projects.xml file which won't be resolved with a reinstall. So if you still have the problem then rename this file: 
 
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Studio 2017\Projects\projects.xml 
 
Rename it to this for example: 
 
projects.xml_old 
 
When you restart all your projects will have disappeared, they won't have been deleted they are just gone from the Studio view. You then need to open them again one at a time by using "Open Project" and select the *.sdlproj files for each project.
