Hi all,
I'm a student using Trados Studio for a CAT unit on my course, so I have zero experience with the program.
When I first launched Studio, I chose my working languages (Czech and Russian), my mother tongue (British English) and two other varieties of English to fulfill the 5 languages, but then an exercise for my course required using a language I didn't have among my 5 (one of French, Spanish or German). I have looked around at the support forums for SDL, and the only way to reselect my 5 languages appears to be reinstalling the program. I initially had trouble uninstalling Studio (I ran into this error: https://gateway.rws.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0032886), and had to install a cumulative update (detailed at the bottom of this page: https://gateway.rws.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0036005) in order to reinstall the program. This workaround got me past the error and reinstalled Studio, however when I launched the reinstalled application for the first time I wasn't given the option to pick 5 new languages, and when I go to create a new Translation Memory in Studio it still remembers the original 5 languages I picked when I first installed the program. Did I make a mistake when I reinstalled the program? I'm feeling a little bit lost.
If anyone has experience successfully reinstalling Studio or has any idea how to reselect my 5 languages I'd be so grateful for your input. Thanks in advance.
Chris
