Neither Studio or MultiTerm will connect automatically to OneDrive. Both Studio and MultiTerm should be installed on your local C:\ drive.

However, if you have created and saved a project to OneDrive, then when you open the project, Studio will look to One Drive to open the resources.

Maybe try recreating the project, but this time, save it locally.

You can of course save your resources to the 'cloud' but I would strongly advise that you also keep a copy/backup locally.

With regard to confidentiality-, cloud storage is becoming less of an issue and is generally regarded as safe and you will no doubt be receiving packages and files by email which is essentially sending data via the 'cloud'.

That's sursprising, because it happened just after installing Studio and MultiTerm (on the c:\drive) and reactivating the licence, without having imported any project nor done anything else ... (it may actually only concern my termbase).

If I did not have the OneDrive "warning" about the lack of space, I would not even have noticed, so it still seems to me that this was done automatically (never had the problem on my old PC).

Try creating a couple of test projects- but saving these to a local folder (Studio 2019/Projects e.g.)

ensuring TB's and TM's are also in the relevant folders.

This is then removing any connection to One Drive and now you shouldnt have the same issues.

Ok, I will try it this way and otherwise deactivate OneDrive altogether.

Same here. Really annoying "feature" (either from Windows or Trados). Each time I create e.g. a Termbasse it ends up in OneDrive which is already deactivated. No chance to choose folders within the assistant ...

This is neither a feature of Windows or Trados, but your own file management. Just store the files NOT in a folder which is being synchronized with any cloud. I am sorry to say that, but this is solely your responsibility. What you need is a basic knowledge in file management in your PC. Neither PC nor Mac will maintain file and folder structures on their own in a way, which allows user to keep full control of these files and folders. As translators we must have a system for storing files, which is fully controlled by us. Using a tool for project management like Translation Office 3000 is highly recommendable, as such tools can help creating and maintaining a folder structure.

I'm sorry to say that, but my file management is very simple and always the same: all my own data stored on a second drive (also my translation files, TM and TB). And I have currently NO problem to keep this up with any other software except, well ... Trados. So it sounds a little funny being made responsible for the problems only one specific software causes.

Sorry again, but you are indeed responsible for that. Studio does only store some settings files in Documents\Studio folder. All other files are stored in paths chosen by the user*. So not the software is to blame for the place where the files go. You must have configured your OneDrive to watch certain folders in which you do store your termbases and maybe other files.

*Only if you use Drag&Drop Studio chooses the path for you and it goes to Documents\Studio 2021\Projects\Drag files.
