Hello, I cannot seem to find where in Trados and Multiterm I would be able to deactivate the synchronization with OneDrive?

Plus, would you recommend to keep the automatic synchronization with OneDrive?

I just reactivated Trados on my new laptop, and it seems that OneDrive automatically connects to Trados/MultiTerm, because it is already "telling" me that there is no more space on my OneDrive left and that my termbases could not be saved. I deleted several elements and have more than 1 G of space left, but when I go the termbase folders, there is still the cross symbol indicating that the termbases are not saved on OneDRive.

I find this disturbing and thought I might skip OneDrive altogether and just go on saving my work on several external hard drives.

Also, could clouds like OneDrive lead to problems with confidentiality?

Thanks, Sandra

  • Sorry again, but you are indeed responsible for that. Studio does only store some settings files in Documents\Studio folder. All other files are stored in paths chosen by the user*. So not the software is to blame for the place where the files go. You must have configured your OneDrive to watch certain folders in which you do store your termbases and maybe other files.

*Only if you use Drag&Drop Studio chooses the path for you and it goes to Documents\Studio 2021\Projects\Drag files.
