Re-installation after PC crash

After a PC crash and having to go through a complete re-installation process, I deactivated SDL 2017 and downloaded the SW again.

Being notified that the installation was successful, I fail to see the SDL logo or any other icon that lets me activate/open the SW.

What am I missing?

Thanks for any help.

  • Hello

In order to see if the software was properly installed on your PC, please go to this location: "C:\Program Files (x86)\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio5", see if you have an "SDLTradosStudio.exe" file there and if Studio starts if you run that .exe.

    Other ways of checking are:

    - press the Start button from your taskbar and start typing Studio. See if SDL Trados Studio appears in the suggested app list and try to start it from there

    or

    - go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features and check if SDL Trados STudio 2017 appears in the list of installed programs. You can also choose to repair Studio from this location if it fails to open when trying to open it from Program Files

    Hope this helps!
