Hi,
I'm getting the above error message (Xml Exception, Root element is missing) when trying to install Trados 2021, and the program is aborting. I had a similar issue when I first tried to install Trados 2019, and a member of the tech support team explained what to do. I can't remember what I had to do to resolve the issue, though, and it looks as though I no longer have a support and maintenance agreement in place.
Any help gratefully received.

As you mentioned you had an issue with installing Studio 2019 before- I took a look at the previous case and saw that the following manual installation was the required solution.

I have the same problem and tried to follow the steps mentioned above. It still doesn't work.

Great name by the way... Try deleting the file "PackageTracking.xml" in the file path C:\ProgramData\SDL\Chainer. I had exactly the same issue and that worked for me.
