Hi,
I'm getting the above error message (Xml Exception, Root element is missing) when trying to install Trados 2021, and the program is aborting. I had a similar issue when I first tried to install Trados 2019, and a member of the tech support team explained what to do. I can't remember what I had to do to resolve the issue, though, and it looks as though I no longer have a support and maintenance agreement in place.
Any help gratefully received.

As you mentioned you had an issue with installing Studio 2019 before- I took a look at the previous case and saw that the following manual installation was the required solution.

If you should still have an issue, please let us know as you do not need a support contract for licensing and installation issues and we can log a ticket for you from here in the community

I have the same problem and tried to follow the steps mentioned above. It still doesn't work.
